Ngāti <strong>Tuwharetoa</strong> (<strong>Bay</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Plenty</strong>)<br />

<strong>Claims</strong> <strong>Settlement</strong> Part 2 cl 12<br />

Registrar-General means the Registrar-General <strong>of</strong> Land<br />

appointed in accordance with section 4 <strong>of</strong> the Land Transfer<br />

Act 1952<br />

relevant consent authority means a consent authority <strong>of</strong> the<br />

region or district that contains, or is adjacent to, a statutory<br />

area<br />

representative entity means—<br />

(a) the Ngāti <strong>Tuwharetoa</strong> (<strong>Bay</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Plenty</strong>) governance<br />

entity; and<br />

(b) any person (including any trust or trustees) acting for,<br />

or on behalf <strong>of</strong>:<br />

(i) the iwi, or the collective group referred to in<br />

section13(1)(a)(i):<br />

(ii) any 1 or more <strong>of</strong> the individuals referred to in<br />

section 13(1)(a)(ii):<br />

(iii) any 1 or more the hapū, groups, families, or<br />

whānau referred to in section 13(1)(b)<br />

resource consent has the meaning given by section 87 <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Resource Management Act 1991<br />

responsible Minister means, in subpart 1 <strong>of</strong> Part 4, 1 <strong>of</strong> the<br />

following Ministers:<br />

(a) the Minister <strong>of</strong> Conservation:<br />

(b) the Minister <strong>of</strong> Fisheries:<br />

(c) the Minister for Arts, Culture, and Heritage:<br />

(d) any other Minister <strong>of</strong> the Crown who is authorised by<br />

the Prime Minister to exercise powers and perform<br />

functions and duties under subpart 1 <strong>of</strong> Part 4<br />

responsible Ministry means, in subpart 1 <strong>of</strong> Part 4, 1 <strong>of</strong> the<br />

following departments <strong>of</strong> State:<br />

(a) the Department <strong>of</strong> Conservation:<br />

(b) the Ministry <strong>of</strong> Fisheries:<br />

(c) the Ministry for Culture and Heritage:<br />

(d) any other department <strong>of</strong> State authorised by the Prime<br />

Minister to exercise powers and perform functions and<br />

duties under subpart 1 <strong>of</strong> Part 4<br />

river, in relation to a statutory acknowledgement, means a<br />

continuously or intermittently flowing body <strong>of</strong> fresh water,<br />

including a stream or modified watercourse and the bed <strong>of</strong> the<br />

river<br />
