"Flag Day"
Every year on Flag
Day; June 14th, WE
celebrate the
anniversary of the
birth of ElectronTop.
In 2001, WE changed
the name of our
celebration to
“Founders Day”. Dad
was with us to enjoy
that fi rst year.
Dad always
told us, “Never
take your
hands off the
work (your
product)” He
never did, and
continued
to guide and
teach us, even
after his
retirement in
1987.
Like most
successful people, our
Dad was accompanied
on his journey by our
Mom. Mom took on
any job that needed
to be done with a
positive attitude and
enthusiasm. Some
of her jobs included
accounting, making
sample cards (which
were cut by hand
then), going on sales
trips, but most of all
being supportive of
Dads dreams. Mom
continues to come into
work on Mondays and
support us. Our Mom
and Dad made a great
team. Their logic,
foresight and strong
relationship created a
fi rm foundation for us
to build on. They ran
Electron Top very
successfully for 27
years before passing it
on to Rick & Skip.

10 years after retirement Dad was honored on the
cover of Auto Trim News. He shared the honor with
David Eash & Richard Gilbreath of E & G Classics,
Gaither Spradling of Spradling Originals and Jerry
Roman of Roman Chariot.
We painted our name on the interior
wall of our shop. It reminds us to this day
that we did not arrive to this point without
a lot of hard work and dedication not only
by ourselves but also by our elders. Dad
with his two boys and companions.

Our Dad left behind
a script that could be
adapted to all our
business and
personal issues. We
are grateful for the
person he was and
the people he helped
us to be, but mostly
for the endless love
he shared. We miss
him dearly.
