A problem has been occurring with the 1987-1999 BMW “ i ” Series convertible tops. The <strong>is</strong>sue <strong>is</strong> that the frame pinches and/or tears the<br />
top near the bows and sometimes the side quarters. The tension straps should be replaced when installing a new top.<br />
