Business experts have said that family companies rarely survive past a second generation of ownership. We are<br />
elated to say that in June of 2010 we celebrated our 50th Anniversary and are on the third generation of family<br />
owners. We tried to capture some of the highlights of our last 50 years of ex<strong>is</strong>tence on the following pages.<br />

<strong>Our</strong> Grandfather Henry Yudt; at age<br />
12 (Left), as an apprentice carriage<br />
builder in Budapest, Hungary. He<br />
emigrated to New York City in 1920<br />
and went to work in the custom<br />
auto body building industry, that was<br />
fl our<strong>is</strong>hing at the time.<br />
In 1930 he went into the Auto Trim<br />
business as “Richmond Hill Auto <strong>Top</strong>.”<br />
H<strong>is</strong> attention to detail, incredible<br />
craftsmanship and kind personality made<br />
him an upholsterer sought after.<br />
