January 1994 - The<br />
fi rst <strong>is</strong>sue of our<br />
monthly newsletter,<br />
“Keeping In Touch” <strong>is</strong><br />
released. The name<br />
was changed the<br />
following month to<br />
“Keep in Touch”. The<br />
letter was created to<br />
“Keep in Touch” with<br />
our customers and<br />
them with us.<br />
“It <strong>is</strong> sometimes diffi cult for<br />
the older generation of<br />
business owners to accept<br />
changes made by the younger,<br />
but Mom and Dad always<br />
d<strong>is</strong>played great<br />
enthusiasm and pride towards<br />
the job WE were doing. They<br />
made regular trips to<br />
<strong>Electron</strong> <strong>Top</strong> d<strong>is</strong>playing<br />
enthusiasm and interest<br />
towards every new change.”<br />

1960's - Dad spent many days throughout the 60's v<strong>is</strong>iting<br />
upholstery shops promoting our products. Those v<strong>is</strong>its<br />
establ<strong>is</strong>hed relationships that, in many cases, still ex<strong>is</strong>t today. Some of<br />
you may even remember him fl ying to your local airport in h<strong>is</strong><br />
Cherokee Piper.<br />
1976 - 1988 - Being very loquacious and a bit of a free spirit, Rick took<br />
over sale's v<strong>is</strong>its traveling to our customers on the East Coast in a Realite<br />
motor home. He; like Dad, did a great job maintaining relationships with<br />
our customers.<br />
1988 - 1990 - After many years of exposure to the convertible top<br />
business, Kimmy took over the pleasure of v<strong>is</strong>iting customers on the east<br />
coast. Mom and Dad were against overnight trips except when she could<br />
spend the night with her s<strong>is</strong>ter Linda and 5 nieces in Virginia.<br />
No, we never v<strong>is</strong>ited customers in an Amphicar!<br />

travelled to the<br />
different trade shows<br />
meeting customers in<br />
person, sometimes for<br />
the fi rst time. Many<br />
times we recognized<br />
a customer by the<br />
sound of their voice<br />
before we knew who<br />
they were.<br />
