Masonite debuts designer doors at International Builders’ Show
New Products
Bolstering its roster of reliable and innovative products, global door manufacturer Masonite® introduces new interior
and entry doors at the 2012 International Builders’ Show. The latest product line-up solidifies Masonite’s position as an
industry leader, offering cutting edge designs to meet any customer’s preference.
Router-Carved Interior Door Collection
Masonite expands into the router-carved door category with a medium-density fiberboard
(MDF) collection that has a superior heft and presence not found in traditional molded
panel doors. Segmented into three separate product lines called Bolection®, Carte
Blanche and CYMA, the collection allows customers access to cost-effective and
designer carved doors.
The CYMA collection of residential interior doors includes 65 standard designs at a value
driven price point. Commercial doors are available from the Carte Blanche collection,
which also includes 65 styles. The Bolection line of doors is a high-end custom offering that gives homeowners the
opportunity to create their own designs.
All three designer carved door lines are comprised of solid slab panel MDF doors with stile and rail construction also
available. Panel designs are routed, sized, machined and primed with a fully automated CNC machine and finishing line.
West End Interior Door Collection
modern.
Masonite introduces the West End collection, a premium offering in the molded
door category. Available in two designs, the Melrose and the Berkley, in a primed
hardboard finish, this versatile new product line features sharp horizontal embossed
lines and bold graphic elements to evoke a chic and metropolitan feel in any home.
Available in 80” and 84” heights, these doors are simple, clean and classically

New Products
West End doors are available in the eco-friendly Safe ‘N Sound® Emerald option. With a core made of rapidly
renewable wheat straw, Safe ‘N Sound Emerald doors have no added urea formaldehyde and are FSC (Forestry
Stewardship Council) certified.
Additionally, these doors significantly reduce sound transmission and are lighter than conventional particleboard core
allowing for easier handling and installation as well as less hardware and jamb wear.
Fir Grain Belleville Fiberglass Entry Doors
Trend research indicates that fir is one of the most preferred wood grain patterns because of its ease
of finishing and painting. New for 2012, Masonite offers its six panel, Hollister and Craftsman
fiberglass entry doors in fir grain texture, in addition to mahogany and oak.
Engineered to last a lifetime, Masonite fiberglass entry doors provide maximum security while
resisting splitting, cracking and warping. In addition, they are made with a polyurethane foam core to
increase energy savings. A high-performance composite material is also used on the bottom rails,
providing excellent corrosion- and rot-resistance.
AvantGuard Finish Technology Now Available in Cherry
Masonite’s AvantGuard finish technology allows homeowners to replicate the look of exclusive
hardwood without the constant maintenance and hefty price tag.
This innovative digital printing process creates the appearance of authentic wood, like Spanish cedar,
black walnut and – new for 2012 – cherry on low-maintenance fiberglass doors. The technique is
much more sustainable than manufacturing classic wood doors, drastically reducing the amount of
trees harvested. AvantGuard is true wood technology, meaning it simulates the beauty of real wood
with the ultimate durability of a uniquely engineered fiberglass door.
All AvantGuard doors are finished with an automotive-type coating, providing homeowners five years of maintenance-
free use.

Craftsman Entry Doors
New Products
Four new designs were added to Masonite’s popular Craftsman line of mission style entry doors,
including high-definition and pre-finished steel and smooth, oak and fir premium fiberglass. The smooth
finish of the steel and smooth fiberglass is perfect for painting, while the authentic wood-grain textures
of oak and fir give these doors the beauty of wood without the necessary upkeep. All of these
new Craftsman doors feature a clean and simple two-panel design, and the new fiberglass styles are
comprised of recessed panels for an authentic craftsman appearance.
A larger glass area provides more natural light and new glass panels are available in clear lites with external grids, for a
classic look, or decorative glass lites, which offer a higher obscurity level.
The Craftsman style door was previously only available in Masonite’s premium Barrington® product line. With the
addition of these four new Craftsman designs, Masonite brings unmatched craftsmanship with the look of real wood at a
lower price point.
All designs are available in 6 foot 8 inch height and 2 foot 8 inch or 3 foot widths.
Barrington Fiberglass Entry Doors
With the introduction of new decorative glass, the traditional Barrington® collection of fiberglass entry
doors is getting a contemporary makeover for 2012. Designed with distinct raised moulding and
recessed panels, Barrington entry doors have visual depth and character and are available in mahogany
or oak wood-grain textures.
Updated glass designs feature fewer bevels, sleek lines and dark, matte caming.
New Exterior Door Glass Designs
Based on strong customer demand for contemporary and elegant textured
glass designs, Masonite introduces three new decorative glass products
called Brise, Cuzco and Kordella. The Brise product is a dual pane
design with silkscreen etching, and Cuzco and Kordella both feature
sophisticated textures, subtle bevels and dark gray glass accents. All three

New Products
designs provide contemporary solutions for customers wanting a more modern look than traditional designs or center
clusters surrounded by a border.
Trend research shows that homeowners who select an entry door with a glass panel want to add natural light to their
homes while maintaining a high level of privacy. In concert with this, Masonite’s three new glass designs rate a seven or
higher on the privacy level scale, which measures the obscurity of glass on a scale from one to nine.
