GENERAL<br />

The T4W is a hydraulic top-head-drive drill rig designed for waterwell and other applications requiring air or mud rotary, as<br />

well as down-hole hammer drilling methods. The drill is suitable for drilling 127-305 mm holes but can drill up<br />

to 508 mm holes and handle up to 483 mm diameter casing. The rig is factory mounted on a 6 x 4 custom carrier.<br />

PowER PACk<br />

The engine, compressor and hydraulic pumps are mounted on a “floating power pack.” This is an independent frame that<br />

strengthens the chassis main frame and “floats” to maintain proper power train alignment.<br />

ToRQUE LiMiT CoNTRoL<br />

Excessive torque being applied to drill pipe joints or threaded casing is no longer a problem with the torque limit control,<br />

which allows the driller to preset the required torque output of the rotation system.<br />

dRiLL PiPE CARoUSEL<br />

The carousel holds seven pieces of 11.4 cm O.D. x 7.6 m long drill pipe. The carousel is mounted outside the derrick and is<br />

hydraulically positioned under the rotary head for drill pipe loading. A standard drill pipe storage rack, with a capacity of four<br />

pieces of 11.4 cm O.D. x 7.6 m long drill pipe, is mounted on the side of the derrick.<br />

HYdRAULiC iNdExiNG<br />

A 7.6 cm bore x 12.1 cm stroke hydraulic cylinder can be installed for automatically indexing the 11.4 cm drill pipe carousel.<br />

Note: This item is standard with the universal pipe handling package.<br />
