iCore M3/Movex Solution INTELLIGENT BUSINESS INTEGRATION An iCore M3/Movex Solution acts as a generic interface between your M3/Movex system and your central integration platform, or any other application. It enables automated, fully integrated information transfers with secure file exchanges, which considerably reduces the costs for administration and maintenance. With a low total cost of ownership (TCO), an iCore M3/Movex Solution provides the easy, cost-effective way to integrate your M3/Movex system with other applications or with your other administrative in-house system(s) and to your trading partners. The iCore M3/Movex Solution fits perfectly in an enterprise architecture based on reuse and loosely coupled services and may serve as your first step to building a true a service oriented architecture (SOA). Supported M3/Movex interfaces ESB M3/Movex Accelerator Movex The iCore M3/Movex Solution is configured with the help of an accelerator, included in the software. The accelerator provides a user-friendly interface for fast configuration of standardized, reusable information flows to and from the M3/Movex system. The solution supports older as well as later versions of all the common technical M3/Movex interfaces in iSeries/AS400 environment (Java/RPG): M3/Movex APIs, Movex EDI Enable, Movex eCollaborator (MeC), 5250/screenscraping, ODBC, XML, print capture, text files etc. You may combine several ways to interface M3/Movex, while keeping uniform communication with the central integration platform. Composite services can be managed and exposed in the same uniform way. The iCore M3/Movex Solution may be triggered and integrated with the underlying M3/Movex API in the same way as the MeC works via Movex Initiation Messages. The support is bi-directional. In Movex version 12.x or later, the MeC interface is a non-mandatory option. With iCore M3/Movex Solution requests can be made, via the M3/Movex API, to get the configuration and set up of the installed version of the M3/Movex APIs. These may then be mapped against the integration scenario. The solution may act as a printer, receiving ordinary print-outs and Stream files via the built-in socket listener. The print-outs/stream files may be used to initiate a processing or as data. Format mapping is standard functionality (from any to any format, for example XML, EDIFACT, flat files, ANSI X.12, VDA …). All iCore integration scenarios allow a combination of integration technologies. INTELLIGENT BUSINESS INTEGRATION
An iCore M3/Movex Solution acts as a generic interface between your M3/Movex system and your
INTELLIGENT BUSINESS INTEGRATION
For example, if the underlying M3/Movex API does not support all transactions required in the business
integration process, the iCore M3/Movex Solution may easily combine the M3/Movex API with ODBC
look-ups or, if you have an old RPG version, 5250 emulation/screen scraping to achieve full process
support. This minimizes the need to make changes in M3/Movex or the M3/Movex API, which may be a
costly procedure and could make the system more expensive to support or upgrade in the future.
All solutions from iCore are event-driven and designed for non-intrusive, real-time integration.
Information may be processed in batches, initiated by built-in timers.
Outstanding track & trace, alarm and log functions
With an iCore M3/Movex Solution you get sheltered processes and multi-threading/multi-tasking
support. Solutions are fully automated and built for 24 x7 x 365 use.
There are comprehensive functions for logging and traceability built into the software, which enable you
to track data, down to the smallest detail, at any point in an information flow. All data going through the
system leaves a full audit trail, with a level of detail configured to suit your needs. There is no need for
continuous manual supervision. If an information flow fails, the error is automatically detected and an
alarm is sent via e-mail, sms or any other preferred channel. When the error has been corrected, the flow
can be started from the exact point where it failed, reducing the risk for duplicated or missed information.
To let new development and changes be tested and implemented without interrupting the daily business,
the software allows you to have identical test and production environments existing side by side. This
enables you to test changes with real data, before letting them go live. Version handling is fully
supported.
