The Almaden Valley Community Association will
hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 10 from 7 to
9 p.m. at the Almaden Community Center, 6445
Camden Ave. Kevin Briggs and the city’s arborist, Ralph
Mize, will discuss San Jose’s tree preservation policy
and services during its comprehensive review of treerelated
services and regulations. The city has developed
a framework of proposed actions and needs input to
develop this framework into actions. The AVCA’s
October meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 1. The
speaker will be Dan Collen, senior engineer for county

Almaden Valley Singles meets monthly to plan
upcoming activities. Some of our activities include

The Santa Clara Co. Horsemen’s Association, founded
in 1939, meets the third Friday of each month at its
property located at 20350 McKean Road, San Jose.
