Bylaws and Governance Bylaws The ACHA Bylaws is a set of rules adopted by the association to provide guidance in governing its meetings and affairs. The bylaws defi ne ACHA’s organizational structure, describe of the rights and duties of members, and describe the association’s decision-making process. Amendments to the bylaws are voted on by qualifi ed members at the Assembly of Representatives. Assembly of Representatives The Assembly of Representatives takes place each year at the ACHA Annual Meeting. During the assembly, qualifi ed voting members of ACHA are able to shape the governance of the association through their votes. The Assembly of Representatives meets annually to establish overall organization practices by the adoption of resolutions, action on amendments to the bylaws, and review of ACHA’s activities. Members qualifi ed to vote at the Assembly of Representatives are representatives of a member institution (RMIs), section chairs, section chairs-elect, section designated representatives, members of the Board of Directors, past presidents of ACHA, and alternate representatives.
