We’ve got you covered, with Powershift flexibility and a wide range of speeds.
5400 Series Dyna-4 Transmission
At a minimum, producers demand two things out
of a transmission — fast, easy shifting and plenty
of gears to handle the variety of jobs they face on a
daily basis. That’s exactly the reason we specified the
Dyna-4 as standard equipment on the 5400 Series.
The semi-powershift offers four Dynashift ratios
that can be shifted up or down under full load within
four electrohydraulically selected main ranges. That
translates into a total of 16 speeds in both forward
and reverse to optimize performance and minimize
fuel consumption.
Creep and Supercreep options
For jobs that require full power and control at the
lowest possible speed, all 5400 Series tractors are
available with creeper and supercreeper transmission
options. Respectively, they provide an additional eight
or 16 gears at speeds down to .4 mph (0.6 km/h)
using creeper and as low as .12 mph (0.2 km/h)
with supercreeper.
Large disc brakes, with constant pressure lubrication,
provide superior stopping power.
Simple, efficient shifting
Using a special T-handle control lever, mounted on the
right-hand console, the operator can manually change
the powershift ranges, as well as speeds, without using
the clutch pedal.
For powershift ratio changes, simply “pulse” the
handle forward or back to make sequential shifts
through four ranges as conditions change. To shift
to a new range, simply press and hold the range
button on the control handle while moving the lever
forward or backward. When changing ranges, speed
matching automatically selects the corresponding
Dyna-4 ratio to match your forward speed.
This simple, straightforward procedure lets you
quickly find the perfect balance of engine speed and
travel speed for any type of job.
Left-hand power control
The left-hand Power Control lever on the steering
column provides convenient, operator-controlled
forward/reverse shuttling, powershift changes and
fingertip declutching, leaving the operator’s right
hand free to operate other controls, such as a
loader joystick.
Variable shuttle engagement
A convenient rotary dial on the console allows
you to adjust the engagement rate of forward or
reverse shuttle engagement to match your needs and
preferences. For heavy loader work, more aggressive
settings offer maximum productivity, while less
aggressive settings provide smooth, direction changes.
when shuttling.
