The New Idea ¤ 7200 Series rectangular
balers feature five models designed to
meet the varied demands of a wide
range of operations. Whether you need
smaller 14" X 18" bales for horses, large
3’ X 3’ bales for bunk feeding, or something
in between, New Idea has a rectangular
baler that delivers the high efficiency
and high quality you re looking for.
Smallest in the line are the models
7205, 7210 and 7215 which produce
solid, square-shouldered, 14" x 18" bales.
The model 7220 features a 16" x 18" bale
chamber. The large bale system of the
model 7233 builds dry hay or silage bales
that measure 31.5" wide, 34.4" high and
up to 98" in length.

7205, 7210, 7215 and 7220
Small Rectangular Balers
When your operation needs a small rectangular
baler you can count on for rugged,
dependable performance, choose from our
models 7205, 7210, 7215 and 7220. The three
smallest models, the 7205, 7210 and 7215,
produce solid, square-shouldered 14" x 18"
bales and can be equipped with a hydraulicdriven
bale thrower and hydraulic pickup lift
as options. The model 7220 features a larger
16" x 18" bale chamber, with standard
hydraulic lift pickup and hydraulic bale
density control.
All four models incorporate true center-line
design, so the baler is positioned directly
behind the tractor. The crop moves in a
straight line from the pickup throat to the
bale chute, reducing leaf loss and crop
damage. What s more, a prepacker chamber
behind the pickup ensures more uniform
bale density and consistent flake size.
Other standard features on all four models
include a torque limiting, overrunning clutch;
adjustable pickup flotation; dual gauge
wheels; center augers that gently gather the
crop from the outer ends of the pickup; and
chain drives throughout the machine.
The model 7205 offers big performance
in a small package,
especially when equipped
with optional hydraulic density
control rails and pickup lift.

With its 75.9", four-bar
pickup and 100-spm
plunger, the model 7215
lets you cover a lot of
ground in less time.
Model 7205
Our smallest rectangular baler, the
model 7205, packs in plenty of big
features. With its 61", low-profile
pickup, a 92-strokes-per-minute
plunger, four-ball twine capacity
and standard 9.5L x 14 6-ply flotation
tires, the 7205 is ideal for the
family farm or smaller operator
who wants consistent quality and
efficiency.
Model 7210
If your operation requires a little
more capacity, the model 7210 s
three-bar pickup covers a 75.9"
swath, and its 100-spm plunger
rests on seven, sealed, ball bearing
rollers. It also features 11L x 14 6-ply
flotation tires, four-ball twine
capacity and optional hydraulic
density control rails.
Model 7215
For an even higher level of performance
in a small rectangular baler, the
model 7215 boasts a 100-spm plunger
that rides on eight, sealed, ball
bearing rollers and a 75.9", low-profile
pickup that sweeps the windrows
with 112 tines on four bars.
Hydraulic density control rails and
31 x 13.5-15 8-ply tires are standard
on the 7215.
Model 7220
For larger operations, the model
7220 rectangular baler delivers bigger
bales and even more capacity.
Performance features start with a
16" x 18" bale chamber, fed by a
77.5", four-bar pickup. Like the 7215,
the 7220 features a 100-spm plunger
mounted on eight sealed, ball
bearing rollers. Other extras include:
standard hydraulic density control;
a three-joint, equal-angle driveline;
and 31 x 13.5-15, 8-ply tires.
The 77.5", four-bar pickup helps the
model 7220 make short work of turning
heavy windrows into 16" x 18" bales.
Center-line Design Pickup
Thanks to center-line design,
the crop flows gently in a
straight line, from the pickup
throat to the bale chute. The
crop is lifted about half as high
as on competitive models and
fed straight into a prepacker
chamber, where each flake is
preformed and then swept
straight into the bale chamber.
Since the hay never changes
direction, there’s less chance of
leaf loss and crop damage. And
nutritious leaves are distributed
evenly throughout the bale, not
concentrated on one side.

Large Rectangular
Baling System
With as little as 90 PTO horsepower, the model
7233 builds 31.5" x 34.4" high-density bales that
measure as much as 98" in length. The model
7233 combines a rugged feeder system,
designed for dry or high-moisture hay, with slot
cleaners on the plunger and needle brushes to
ensure smooth operation, regardless of crop
moisture. So, you can produce 1,000-pound dry
hay bales or 1,500-pound silage bales, with ease.
The 7233 is packed with high-performance
features like an automatic density control
system for consistent bale solidity, regardless of
field or crop conditions. A wide, low-profile
pickup sweeps a 77.4" path to gather large or
windblown windrows. A dual-reduction gearbox,
coupled to a hefty 360-pound flywheel,
ensures smooth operation, even in heavy,
high-moisture silage. And the unique doubleknotter
system starts bales tight and keeps
them that way.
