1960s<br />

A new generation of “<strong>Massey</strong> <strong>Ferguson</strong>”<br />

comb<strong>in</strong>es was <strong>in</strong>troduced. The MF 300, 410<br />

and 510 featured modern styl<strong>in</strong>g with the eng<strong>in</strong>e<br />

mounted forward above the thresh<strong>in</strong>g cyl<strong>in</strong>der.<br />

Unique “saddle-type” gra<strong>in</strong> b<strong>in</strong> design <strong>in</strong>creased b<strong>in</strong><br />

capacity and lowered the comb<strong>in</strong>e’s center of gravity. All three<br />

models featured an <strong>in</strong>novative turret style unload<strong>in</strong>g auger.<br />

1970s-<br />

1980s<br />

Both the MF 700 and<br />

800 series comb<strong>in</strong>es<br />

were sold worldwide<br />

and set <strong>in</strong>dustrylead<strong>in</strong>g<br />

standards<br />

for gra<strong>in</strong> harvest<strong>in</strong>g<br />

excellence.<br />

1983<br />

The “Equipment Manufacturers<br />

Institute” recognized the self-propelled<br />

comb<strong>in</strong>e as one of the “100 Most<br />

Significant Contributions” to the<br />

mechanization of agriculture.<br />

1986<br />

2007<br />

Introduction of the MF9895 comb<strong>in</strong>e featur<strong>in</strong>g<br />

the world’s most efficient and productive<br />

gra<strong>in</strong>-handl<strong>in</strong>g and unload<strong>in</strong>g system.<br />

2011 The<br />

<strong>Massey</strong> <strong>Ferguson</strong> acquired the rotary comb<strong>in</strong>e<br />

technology from White Farm Equipment and<br />

went on to produce<br />

two models, the<br />

MF8560 and the<br />

MF8590. This<br />

signaled the start<br />

of the transition<br />

from conventional<br />

to axial rotary<br />

comb<strong>in</strong>e technology.<br />

<strong>Next</strong> <strong>Generation</strong> <strong>in</strong> comb<strong>in</strong>es<br />

is a mach<strong>in</strong>e <strong>in</strong> which virtually every<br />

component has been rethought<br />

and reeng<strong>in</strong>eered to provide more<br />

capacity with less complexity.<br />
