RapidPro: Integrating<br />
DENSO Lambda Probes<br />
<strong>dSPACE</strong>’s RapidPro hardware will<br />
soon make it possible to integrate<br />
DENSO lambda probes (PLUS2.1,<br />
PLUS3.x) into a function prototyping<br />
setup (the Bosch LSU 4.2 and 4.9<br />
probes are already supported).<br />
<strong>dSPACE</strong> offers an extensive selection<br />
of signal conditioning and power<br />
stage modules, for example, for<br />
integrating crankshaft, camshaft, and<br />
knock sensors and for controlling<br />
highcurrent injectors. The DENSO<br />
SystemDesk Supports<br />
AUTOSAR 2.1<br />
<strong>dSPACE</strong> is continuing to extend the<br />
AUTOSAR support given by the<br />
SystemDesk architecture software.<br />
Version 1.1 of SystemDesk (planned<br />
for July 2008) will support AUTOSAR<br />
broadband probes supported by the<br />
new RapidPro SCUHEGO 2/1 module<br />
can capture airfuel mixes in the<br />
range AFR 10 … ∞ bzw. 12 … 25.<br />
<strong>dSPACE</strong> provides an example model<br />
for integrating the lambda probes<br />
into the MATLAB ® /Simulink ® modeling<br />
environment.<br />

2.1. This version of the AUTOSAR<br />
standard includes more precise<br />
specifications for developing a standardized<br />
electrics/electronics architecture,<br />

A Winning<br />
Team<br />
Once again, <strong>dSPACE</strong> took part in<br />
the Easter Run in Paderborn,<br />
home of our headquarters in Germany.<br />
This is the oldest road race<br />
in Germany and attracts toplevel<br />
international competitors. This<br />
year, 8,000 runners gathered at<br />
the starting line, undaunted by<br />
adverse weather conditions. The<br />
<strong>dSPACE</strong> team took the firstplace<br />
trophy in the 5kilometer Company<br />
Cup, a competition held for<br />
the first time this year. A total of<br />
37 <strong>dSPACE</strong> runners took part in<br />
the run. To get ready, they all<br />
trained together once a week<br />
after work, inspiring even inexperienced<br />
runners to join in. In the<br />
official handbike races, the<br />
athletes were delighted that<br />
<strong>dSPACE</strong> sponsored their events,<br />
like last year. With spirits high,<br />
the handbikers received their<br />
prizes in the <strong>dSPACE</strong> hospitality<br />
tent.
