740.01<br />

Furnish two (2) sets <strong>of</strong> equipment lists, operation <strong>and</strong> maintenance manuals,<br />

<strong>and</strong> board-level schematic <strong>and</strong> wiring diagrams <strong>of</strong> the UPS, <strong>and</strong> the battery data<br />

sheets. Manual shall conform to TEES 1999, Chapter 1 Section 1.2.4.2.<br />

C. Battery System. Supply a minimum <strong>of</strong> four (4) batteries with the UPS system.<br />

Each battery shall be 12VDC <strong>and</strong> be rated at 105 Ahrs to achieve the 2.5 hour run<br />

time requirement. Furnish batteries easily replaced <strong>and</strong> commercially available <strong>of</strong>f<br />

the shelf.<br />

Furnish deep cycle, sealed prismatic lead-calcium based AGM/VRLA<br />

(Absorbed Glass Mat/ Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries.<br />

Furnish batteries certified by the manufacturer to operate over a temperature<br />

range <strong>of</strong> -13 °F to +165 °F (– 25 °C to +74 °C).<br />

Place all batteries on battery heater mats in the enclosure. The battery heater<br />

mats are designed to extend the life <strong>of</strong> the batteries.<br />

An integral system shall prevent the battery from destructive discharge <strong>and</strong><br />

overcharge. Batteries shall not be recharged when battery temperature exceeds<br />

122°F+5°F(50°C±3°C).<br />

D. Enclosure. Furnish an enclosure mountable to a st<strong>and</strong>ard Model 332, NEMA<br />

TS-1 or TS-2 traffic signal cabinet <strong>and</strong> be constructed <strong>of</strong> natural unpainted<br />

aluminum. Furnish cabinet size adequate to house “all” the UPS equipment<br />

including the controller unit, manual bypass switch <strong>and</strong> the (4) batteries. Key the<br />

enclosure to the State master #2 lock <strong>and</strong> include 2 keys.<br />

Furnish a base seal for use between the enclosure to the concrete foundation or<br />

riser <strong>of</strong> continuous tape gasket material, minimum 1/8-inch (3 mm) thickness.<br />

Completely seal the interface to the adjacent controller cabinet with silicone caulk.<br />

Furnish an enclosure with a vent, fan <strong>and</strong> thermostat as per TEES Chapter 7,<br />

Section 2-Housings.<br />

E. Warranty. Provide a two (2) year factory-repair warranty for parts <strong>and</strong> labor on<br />

the UPS from date <strong>of</strong> acceptance by the State. Warrant batteries for full<br />

replacement for two (2) years from date <strong>of</strong> purchase.<br />

Furnish materials according to the <strong>Department</strong>'s Qualified Products List (QPL).<br />

740 PAVEMENT MARKING MATERIAL<br />

740.01 General. Permanent pavement marking materials that meet the<br />

requirements <strong>of</strong> this specification <strong>and</strong> that have passed the service test required by<br />

Supplement 1047 are included on the Approved List maintained by the Office <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Material</strong>s Management (OMM). OMM may retest pavement marking materials<br />

pre-qualified by a service test to determine formulation compliance to prequalified<br />

material <strong>and</strong> compliance with physical properties specified herein.<br />

Certified test data <strong>and</strong> samples will be furnished by the manufacturer to OMM.<br />

Failure <strong>of</strong> testing or certified test data to show formulation conforming to prequalified<br />

material or compliance with specified physical properties may be cause<br />

for removal <strong>of</strong> the material from the Approved List.<br />

Ensure that the marking material is delivered in containers that are clearly<br />

marked to indicate the number <strong>of</strong> gallons (liters), weight or size <strong>of</strong> material,<br />

material density (weight per unit volume), material color, batch number or other
