c. LEDs for arrow indications shall be spread evenly across the illuminated portion
of the arrow area. Arrow LED traffic signal lamp units shall meet VTCSH – Part
3: LED Vehicle Arrow Traffic Signal Modules, March 2004. Arrow LED traffic
signal lamp units shall be designed so that when operated over the specified
ambient temperature and voltage ranges, the signal is clearly visible and attracts
attention for a distance of at least 1300 feet (400 meters) under normal
atmospheric conditions. Arrow LED traffic signal lamp units shall have 3 rows of
LEDs only.
d. Measured chromaticity coordinates of LED traffic signal lamp units shall
conform to the chromaticity requirements of the following table, for a minimum
