[1] Number <strong>of</strong> lines in the table indicates the number <strong>of</strong> longitudinal lines required in each top <strong>and</strong><br />

bottom portion <strong>of</strong> the pipe. The area <strong>of</strong> each support element in a pipe is two times the crosssectional<br />

area <strong>of</strong> the S-stirrups wire used. There shall be an equal number <strong>of</strong> these lines <strong>of</strong> S-stirrups<br />

on either side <strong>of</strong> the mid-point <strong>of</strong> both the top <strong>and</strong> bottom <strong>of</strong> the pipe. See Figure 1.<br />

[2] The amplitude is the overall width <strong>of</strong> the line <strong>of</strong> stirrups.
