662.02 Watering. Furnish the water used in watering l<strong>and</strong>scape plants.<br />

Thoroughly water all plant material at the time <strong>of</strong> planting regardless <strong>of</strong> soil<br />

moisture content. Continue to water throughout the period <strong>of</strong> establishment.<br />

Saturate the root zone <strong>and</strong> mulched area <strong>of</strong> each plant without causing run-<strong>of</strong>f<br />

according to Table 662.03-1. During fall planting, continue to water until the<br />

ground is frozen <strong>and</strong> recommence watering after the spring thaw. Furnish a rain<br />

gauge approved by the Engineer.<br />

662.03 Method <strong>of</strong> Measurement. The <strong>Department</strong> will measure L<strong>and</strong>scape<br />

Watering by the number <strong>of</strong> gallons (liters) delivered to plants from approved<br />

metered tanks or individually measured containers as follows:<br />

666.03 Pruning. Prune all trees to make them shapely, typical <strong>of</strong> the species,<br />

using st<strong>and</strong>ard drawings on the plans as a guide. Use approved pruning tools <strong>and</strong><br />

methods.
