[4] No incentive will be paid for lots where 3 joint cores are required to be<br />

taken but less than 3 cores are taken.<br />

446.06 Joints. Construct joints according to 401.17. Make a hot longitudinal<br />

joint between the mainline pavement lane <strong>and</strong> the adjoining shoulder <strong>and</strong> all ramps<br />

<strong>and</strong> the adjoining shoulders. If a hot longitudinal joint is specified between the<br />

mainline pavement lanes, the Contractor may construct a cold longitudinal joint<br />

between the mainline pavement lanes <strong>and</strong> the adjoining shoulders. Cold<br />

longitudinal joints in mainline pavement will be tested according to 446.05.<br />

446.07 Basis <strong>of</strong> Payment. The <strong>Department</strong> will pay for accepted quantities,<br />

completed in place, at the contract prices, as modified by 446.05, as follows:<br />
