If you are typing commands and receive this:
Router#clock set 10:30:10
% Incomplete command.

then you know that the command string is not done. Just press the up arrow
key to receive the last command entered, then continue with the command
by using your question mark.
Also, if you receive this error:
Router(config)#access-list 110 permit host 1.1.1.1
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
notice that the ^ marks the point where you have entered the command
incorrectly. This is very helpful.
If you receive this error:
Router#sh te
% Ambiguous command: "sh te"
it means you did not enter all the keywords or values required by this command.
Use the question mark to find the command you need.
Router#sh te?
