DESERT COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT AGENDA ITEM BOARD OF TRUSTEES Date of Meeting November 18, 2004 __ Division Human Resources Communication No. ___ #1 TOPIC MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORS – RETIREMENTS __________________________________________________________________ PROPOSAL: To ratify the retirement of the following individual on the effective date indicated: • Connie Cameron, Evaluation Supervisor, Student Services, effective June 30, 2005 BACKGROUND: • Ms. Cameron has been employed since February, 1990. BUDGET IMPLICATIONS: This position may not be replaced, however the budgeted amount will be utilized to fund another new position. Frank Attoun, Professor of French and Spanish, 1.00 FTE, effective July 1, 2005, 175 days. BACKGROUND: Mr.Attoun has served as Dean, Communication and Visual Arts as well as Department Chair and Division Dean for more than 14 years. Mr. Attoun has taught for thirty-seven years in addition to his administrative duties. He has decided to return as a full time faculty member for the 2005 – 2006 academic year. BUDGET IMPLICATIONS: Mr. Attoun’s salary will be Range VI, Step 15, $82,862.00, 175 days. This is a full-time, tenure track position.
