MEZZANINE CARRIER CARDS<br />

Mezzanine modules are a very effective<br />

method for interfacing I/O signals to an<br />

<strong>embedded</strong> computer system. However,<br />

slots may not always be available on the<br />

processor <strong>board</strong>. In this case, a carrier<br />

<strong>board</strong> with slots for up to five Industry<br />

Pack or two PMC modules is an ideal<br />

solution.<br />

Choose from a variety of configurations<br />

with front or rear I/O access. Boards with<br />

multiple mezzanine slots allow mixing of<br />

functions to create custom I/O cards with<br />

extremely high channel density. Thirdparty<br />

IP and PMC modules are supported<br />

offering virtually unlimited possibilities.<br />

Acromag carrier cards are non-intelligent<br />

slave <strong>board</strong>s that act simply as an adapter<br />

to route I/O signals to and from the<br />

<strong>bus</strong>. Some carrier cards offer support for<br />

interrupts. Carriers are available for VME,<br />

PCI, and CompactPCI <strong>bus</strong> systems.<br />

To simplify deployment, Acromag provides<br />

a full line of transition modules, cables<br />

and termination panels. Software support<br />

libraries are also available for faster setup.<br />
