The RM810 chassis are the newest member of Electronic Systems’ Hybricon family of advanced military COTS electronic packaging solutions. These rugged rack mount-style enclosures supports power supplies up to 1800W and provides cooling for greater than 150W per slot to ensure optimal performance for the most demanding high power mobile applications. The RM810 19” rack mount enclosures are 8U- 10U high forced air-cooled deployable chassis. It can be configured with a wide range of open standard backplane architectures, including VITA 1.7/VME64x, VME, VXS, PICMG 2.16, VPX, and OpenVPX. The RM810-8T measures 13.97“ (8U) high, 19” wide, and 22” deep. The RM810-10F measures 17.47” (10U) high, 19” wide, and 22” deep. The card cage is constructed of precision grade aluminum. The SBC is based on the accelerated processing units of the AMD Embedded G-Series, which, along with a 64-bit CPU, also integrates a programmable graphics unit and a DDR3 memory controller. The KTA55/pITX features the 1.2 GHz Single-Core processor AMD T44R or the 1.0 GHz Dual-Core processor AMD T44N and integrates up to 4 GB RAM on a DDR3 SODIMM module. News ID 13696 n MSC joins Intel’s Embedded Building Blocks initiative MSC has joined the new Embedded Building Blocks initiative launched by Intel. The objective of this initiative is to offer system integrators and resellers the opportunity to easily enter the embedded computing market using existing standardized modules with baseboard kits and suitable housings. Compact and robust industrial computer systems for various requirements, such as in industrial automation, can be constructed with the prefabricated Embedded Building Blocks. In this way, integrators can construct individual systems that are quick to deliver and cost-effective, can be used flexible and can be extended at any time. The Embedded Building Blocks provides scalable platforms: MSC offers its COM Express modules and standard baseboards as well as Mini- ITX enclosures from DSM Computer GmbH. A total of seven COM Express module variations, based on various Intel processor types, are currently offered by MSC. These range from powerful second generation Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, each with dual-core, to power-saving Intel Atom Z5x0 processors. This rackmountstyle chassis provides cooling for up to 75 W per slot. It’s designed for 3U 1“ pitch payload cards and rear transition modules and supports 3U OpenVPX backplanes with high-speed switch fabric support for up to 6.25 Gbaud. The RME9CC measures 18.96“ (Rack Flanges) wide, 15.69“ (9U) high, and 19.53” deep. The card cage is constructed of conduction-cooled extruded and machined aluminum. The RME9CC offers 12-slot 3U 1” pitch backplane with rear transition module support, 12-slot 3U OpenVPX backplanes are available. The chassis meets the stringent ANSI/VITA 65 PRODUCT NEWS power and cooling requirements for conduction-cooled 3U OpenVPX modules.
