primary cable in conduit furnished by the customer or<br />

direct buried.<br />

� Provide a padmount transformer of adequate<br />

903.<br />

CUSTOMER COSTS<br />

The customer shall pay for all costs for the installation of<br />

single-phase secondary underground (UG) service provided by the<br />

<strong>Company</strong> as determined on a flat rate basis in accordance with the<br />

<strong>Company</strong>’s filed tariffs.<br />

Should it be necessary for the <strong>Company</strong> to install a road<br />

crossing pole specifically for an underground service installation<br />

which would not be provided for an equivalent overhead service,<br />

the customer shall be assessed a fee to cover the additional cost.<br />

The payment for the underground construction costs must<br />

be received by the <strong>Company</strong> prior to the scheduling of the<br />

construction.<br />

904. LOOP FEED REQUIREMENT<br />

When providing primary underground service to be owned<br />

by the <strong>Company</strong> or located in a public way, the construction will<br />

be a Loop Feed System or contain a spare cable. A primary<br />

underground line feeding a single customer and owned by that<br />

customer may be constructed as a radial feed system. See<br />

paragraph<br />

219 of this handbook for more information on customer<br />

constructed/owned lines.<br />

A Loop Feed System serves loads from one source circuit,<br />

through two separate cables or sets of cables. Ideally, the risers<br />

would be on separate poles, but when economic or physical<br />

conditions prevent the utilization of two separate poles, it shall<br />
