not to interfere with the opening of doors/covers or restrict access<br />

to enclosures.<br />

For locations where the service voltage exceeds 480 volts,<br />

advance <strong>Company</strong> approval of the instrument transformer<br />

installation is required. See paragraph 814 for Switchgear<br />

Installations.<br />

812. MAST OR BUILDING MOUNTED CT INSTALLATION<br />

Mounting of CTs / VTs on the customer's service mast or<br />

on the building adjacent to the weatherhead is not permitted.<br />

Note: Except for the case of primary metering, CTs shall not be<br />

mounted on poles or pole mounted brackets.<br />

813. PADMOUNT TRANSFORMER INSTALLATIONS<br />

Provided there will be only one customer served from the<br />

padmount transformer, the CTs may be mounted inside the<br />

padmount transformer enclosure. VTs shall not be installed in the<br />

padmount transformer enclosure.<br />

The VTs may, with prior<br />

<strong>Company</strong><br />

approval, be installed in a separate weatherproof cabinet<br />

adjacent to the meter enclosure.<br />

814. SWITCHGEAR INSTALLATIONS<br />

When instrument transformers are to be installed in<br />

switchgear, advance <strong>Company</strong> approval of transformer<br />

compartment plans is required.<br />

Following are the requirements for switchgear instrument<br />

transformer compartments:<br />
