by-pass requirements and the residential socket (non by-pass) may<br />

be utilized:<br />

• Temporary service.<br />

• Outdoor lighting (ball field, tennis court, etc.)<br />

• CATV or Telephone power supply/amplifier.<br />

• Any other non-residential facility that is not "in use"<br />

during the <strong>Company</strong>'s normal business<br />

hours.<br />

Note: a by-pass is required for traffic signal light power supply<br />

services.<br />

Three-Phase:<br />

100 or 125 amp Single handle lever operated<br />

bypass<br />

required.<br />

200 or 320 amp Single handle lever operated bypass<br />

which locks the meter blades<br />

in the socket jaws required.<br />

Refer to the "Supplement" for more details on meter socket<br />

and by-pass requirements (see inside back cover of this<br />

handbook).<br />

810. INSTRUMENT TRANSFORMER METERING<br />

A. CURRENT TRANSFORMERS (CTs)<br />

The following services shall generally be arranged<br />

for metering with CTs only (no VTs):<br />

Single-Phase<br />
