test switches and control cable for installation in the customer's<br />
approved equipment will be furnished by the <strong>Company</strong>.<br />
In accordance with<br />
MPUC's Chapter 320, "whenever<br />
practicable,<br />
all electricity sold (delivered) to one customer on one<br />
billing will be measured (metered) at one point." Furthermore,<br />
the metering should be located at, or near, the point of delivery<br />
and at delivery voltage whenever it is practicable to do so. For<br />
any<br />
alternative arrangements, contact the <strong>Company</strong>'s Marketing &<br />
Sales (M&S) Department.<br />
The customer shall make reasonable effort to separate<br />
residential and non-residential use for metering purposes.<br />
801. METERING MULTI-TENANT BUILDINGS<br />
A. RESIDENTIAL SERVICE<br />
As a general rule, in accordance with the Public Utility<br />
Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA), each dwelling unit in a<br />
building that contains more than one residential dwelling unit will<br />
be separately metered. Inquiries regarding application<br />
of/exception to, this rule should be referred to the <strong>Company</strong>'s<br />
Marketing & Sales (M&S) Department.<br />
If the building is master metered, then for residential rate<br />
application, there shall be no three-phase load on the residential<br />
master meter; however, the service to the building and the<br />
residential master meter itself may be three-phase.<br />
B. GENERAL (NON-RESIDENTIAL) SERVICE<br />
As a general rule, in accordance with PURPA, each<br />
separately leased or owned unit in a building that contains more<br />
than one non-residential (commercial) unit will be separately<br />
