3. Means are provided for the connection of a grounding<br />

electrode conductor to the service equipment and routing it<br />

outside the structure.<br />

4. Bonding and grounding of the service are in<br />

accordance with NEC Article 250 and Section VII of this<br />

handbook;<br />

5. Grounding the service equipment complies with the<br />

manufacturer’s written installation instructions;<br />

6. The minimum size grounding electrode conductor<br />

complies with the manufacturer’s instruction; and<br />

7. A red warning label is mounted on or adjacent to the<br />

service equipment stating the following:<br />

WARNING<br />

DO NOT PROVIDE ELECTRICAL POWER<br />

UNTIL THE GROUNDING ELECTRODE(S)<br />

IS INSTALLED AND CONNECTED<br />

(SEE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS).<br />

NOTE: Where the service equipment is not installed in or on<br />

the unit (service equipment is mounted separate from the<br />

structure), the installation shall comply with the provisions of<br />

paragraph 408. (A) of this handbook.<br />

If the <strong>Company</strong> fails a "manufactured home" service<br />

because it believes any of the above rules have not been met, and<br />

the customer/electrician does not agree; then, the issue should be<br />

referred to the AHJ (State or local electrical inspector).<br />

409. TRAVEL TRAILERS AND OTHER STRUCTURES NOT<br />

SUITABLE FOR DIRECT SERVICE ATTACHMENT<br />

An approved raintight service disconnecting means rated at<br />

not less than 60 amperes and with appropriate overcurrent<br />
