<strong>Company</strong> requirements. Following approval, the <strong>Company</strong><br />
will install the new service drop and meter, and energize<br />
the service. The old<br />
main switch will be opened, the old<br />
cable<br />
cut clear and the new main switch closed to provide<br />
service from the new installation. The customer/electrician<br />
must arrange for access to the premises and may be required<br />
to do the necessary switching.<br />
4. If, in the opinion of the electrician, the procedure in<br />
paragraphs 2 and 3 above presents undue safety risk, the<br />
<strong>Company</strong> will work with the electrician to make other<br />
mutually acceptable arrangements to de-energize and reenergize<br />
the service.<br />
D. UPGRADED SERVICE ENTRANCE IN THE SAME<br />
LOCATION<br />
1.<br />
The customer or customer's electrician must notify the<br />
<strong>Company</strong> by call 1-800-750-4000 (for Residential)<br />
or 1-<br />
800-565-3181 (for Commercial & Industrial) of intent to<br />
upgrade the service<br />
entrance.<br />
2. Upon request, the <strong>Company</strong> will float the meter<br />
enclosure and reseal the meter enclosure so that the<br />
electrician may install the new enclosure and riser cable in<br />
the same location on the building.<br />
3. The electrician will install the new enclosure and service<br />
entrance cable and the new main switch. In order to<br />
maintain service, the electrician may provide a temporary<br />
jumper to energize the load side of the new main switch<br />
from the load side of the old main switch, leaving the new<br />
main switch in the open position.<br />
