405. NEW AND UPGRADED SERVICE ENTRANCES<br />

A. GENERAL<br />

<strong>Company</strong> seals will be cut or removed only by<br />

qualified <strong>Company</strong> employees.<br />

Any expenses in connection<br />

with the relocation or<br />

change of <strong>Company</strong> facilities as a result of a customer<br />

change or relocation of the service entrance shall be borne<br />

by the customer.<br />

The customer shall be responsible for installing the<br />

service entrance which encompasses the weatherhead<br />

through<br />

the service disconnecting device/overcurrent<br />

protection, and includes the service entrance grounding.<br />

A <strong>Company</strong> employee will work with the customer<br />

and/or electrician in determining a suitable meter location,<br />

point of attachment of the service drop and location of the<br />

service head. The meter must be in a safe and readily<br />

accessible location.<br />

All service entrance installations must be approved<br />

by the <strong>Company</strong> and a State or municipal inspector. Any<br />

required local or State permits or certificates of inspection<br />

shall<br />

be received by the <strong>Company</strong><br />

before new or upgraded<br />

services are connected.<br />

All electrical connections to <strong>Company</strong> secondaries<br />

must be made by a <strong>Company</strong> employee. Outdoor work may<br />

be affected by weather, and scheduling may be subject to<br />

change.<br />
