For any customer-owned line extension, the customer<br />
may locate the service equipment, including the meter<br />
enclosure,<br />
on the final pole of the line extension. This pole<br />
may<br />
also be the location of CMP's transformer, under the<br />
following conditions:<br />
� All secondary conductors on the pole shall be run in<br />
conduit;<br />
� The service equipment will be relocated off the pole at<br />
the owner's expense should the line be conveyed to CMP<br />
for any reason (the customer should contact the<br />
<strong>Company</strong> prior to relocating any service equipment to<br />
discuss the new location);<br />
� No non-utility attachments (i.e. satellite dishes,<br />
clotheslines, basketball hoops, animal runs, etc.) shall<br />
be<br />
allowed on the pole;<br />
� Access by standard utility vehicles to the pole shall be<br />
maintained at all times by the owner at his/her expense.<br />
When the customer-owned line includes a primary<br />
underground that is feeding a single customer and owned by<br />
that customer, it may be constructed as a radial (in lieu of a<br />
loop) feed system. (See also, the <strong>Company</strong>'s Terms &<br />
Conditions<br />
7.4 (B)(11) (i), 7.4 (B)(12) (iii) and 7.5 (E); and<br />
paragraph<br />
904 of this handbook.<br />
C. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS<br />
Prior to purchasing materials, the contractor should<br />
contact the <strong>Company</strong> to determine the appropriate wire size<br />
and type and the appropriate insulation level for the<br />
proposed line.<br />
Before the <strong>Company</strong> shall be obligated to energize a<br />
private<br />
line extension, the contractor or customer shall:<br />
