205. INSTALLATION CONTRACTS<br />
When contracts for electric wiring or equipment are<br />
prepared by contractors, architects or engineers, it is suggested<br />
that such contracts include the specification that "all materials,<br />
labor and workmanship be in full accordance with the latest<br />
requirements<br />
of: the NEC, all municipal, State and National<br />
authorities having jurisdiction, and <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Power</strong><br />
<strong>Company</strong>."<br />
206. NOTICE OF CHANGE IN LOAD<br />
The customer shall give proper notice to the <strong>Company</strong>'s<br />
local Service Center or Marketing & Sales (M&S) Department of<br />
an increase or decrease proposed in connected load or of any<br />
proposed change in characteristics,<br />
purpose of use, or location of<br />
load.<br />
207. INSPECTION <strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong><br />
In municipalities where electrical inspections are required<br />
by local authorities, certificates of approval must be received in<br />
<strong>Company</strong>'s local Service Center before installations will be<br />
connected to the <strong>Company</strong>'s distribution system. Such certificates<br />
are<br />
to be obtained from the “authority having<br />
jurisdiction” by the<br />
customer or contractor.<br />
Where local authorities do not require inspection<br />
certificates, any required State permits or certificate of inspection<br />
shall be received<br />
in the <strong>Company</strong>'s local Service Center before<br />
temporary, new or upgraded services<br />
are connected. Refer to<br />
paragraph 201 for specific certification requirements. The<br />
customer is advised to contact the <strong>Company</strong>'s local Service Center<br />
to verify the inspection requirements.<br />
The <strong>Company</strong> shall not be responsible for the installation or<br />
maintenance of the customer's electrical equipment,<br />
