201. MUNICIPAL AND STATE CERTIFICATION<br />
A. Form 1190<br />
The <strong>Company</strong> cannot install services to any lot until it<br />
receives written authorization from the municipality that the<br />
lot complies with all applicable shoreland zoning and<br />
subdivision laws, or other written arrangements have been<br />
made between the <strong>Company</strong> and the municipal officers as<br />
stated in Title 30-A M.R.S.A. Section 4406 and Title 38<br />
M.R.S.A. Section 444. Services should not be installed<br />
until an authorized municipal officer issues the required<br />
certification on CMP<br />
form 1190, unless the <strong>Company</strong> gives<br />
the contractor written notification that it is not necessary to<br />
obtain form 1190.<br />
B. Form 1360 or State Single-Family Dwelling<br />
Application<br />
<strong>Maine</strong> law (Title 32 M.R.S.A. § 1105) prohibits the<br />
<strong>Company</strong> from activating the electricity to a newly<br />
constructed single-family dwelling until the <strong>Company</strong><br />
receives certification by a State or local electrical inspector,<br />
master electrician or limited electrician in house wiring;<br />
that<br />
the wiring complies with the NEC. Note: the Law requires<br />
certification for any new (first time) electrical<br />
installation/electric service made in/on a single-family<br />
dwelling constructed after July 1, 1987. The Law does not<br />
apply to the installation of mobile/manufactured<br />
or modular<br />
home wiring or services.<br />
CMP form 1360 is used where there is no local<br />
electrical inspector and the electrician is certifying the<br />
complete wiring installation. The State Single-Family<br />
