II. General Requirements<br />

200. APPLICATION FOR SERVICE<br />

Applications for new service connections or for alterations<br />

in existing connections shall be made by calling 1-800-750-4000<br />

(for RESIDENTIAL) or 1-800-565-3181 (for COMMERCIAL &<br />

INDUSTRIAL). The application shall be made as far in advance<br />

as possible to assure lead time and availability of necessary<br />

materials. Advice will be given as to the applicable CMP rates<br />

and type of service available. The location for the service<br />

entrance, meter, point of attachment of the <strong>Company</strong>'s service<br />

drop, as well as, <strong>Company</strong> transformers and poles, must be<br />

reviewed and approved by the <strong>Company</strong> before any wiring is<br />

installed. NOTE: The customer may be billed whenever wiring<br />

installed without prior <strong>Company</strong> approval results in an additional<br />

expense to the <strong>Company</strong>.<br />

Wiring should not be started, equipment purchased, nor any<br />

load added to existing services until all necessary negotiations<br />

have been completed and the <strong>Company</strong> has advised that it can<br />

supply the required service. Customers' specifications and<br />

contracts for electric wiring and equipment should conform to<br />

these Requirements. Plans and specifications for industrial and<br />

commercial facilities and multiple occupancy buildings, including<br />

housing, shall be submitted in duplicate, indicating the size of the<br />

building in square feet and listing the connected load by class,<br />

such as cooking, heating, lighting, motors' (indicate largest size),<br />

etc., to the <strong>Company</strong>'s local Service Center or Marketing & Sales<br />

(M&S) Department.<br />
