1003. SERVICE CONDUCTORS<br />

A. Secondary Voltage - The <strong>Company</strong><br />

will furnish,<br />

install, own and maintain all conductors necessary from the<br />

point of connection to its underground mains to the nearest<br />

readily accessible point inside the customer's building<br />

where either the service entrance equipment or a suitable<br />

terminal<br />

box may be located. However, the customer may<br />

be required to contribute the cost of the installation. The<br />

customer shall furnish and install all necessary conductors<br />

beyond the terminal box.<br />

B. Primary Voltage - The <strong>Company</strong> will furnish, install,<br />

own and maintain all conductors necessary from the point<br />

of connection to its underground mains to the nearest<br />

readily accessible point inside the customer's vault (See Par.<br />

304 of this handbook). However, the customer may be<br />

required to contribute the cost of the installation.<br />

1004. PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT<br />

The interrupting capacity required of service entrance<br />

equipment fed from underground mains should always be checked<br />

with the <strong>Company</strong> before installing new services. Current limiters<br />

may be required in certain cases at the customer's cost. Service<br />

equipment fed from the Portland network system may be required<br />

to have 100,000 amperes interrupting capacity.<br />
