Home Automation, Inc. (HAI) was formed in 1985 to provide automation
products to the emerging home automation and controls market. HAI’s founders,
Tom Pickral, Brian Yokum, and Jay McLellan, worked together in the industrial
automation industry and sought to apply this expertise to the home and small
commercial automation markets. HAI looks forward to continuing to provide the
best in automation solutions in 2012 and beyond.
1995: The HAI Omni
system–providing twice
the performance at half
the cost of the Model
1503– hits the market.
1996: Omnistat is
introduced–the
first ENERGY STAR®
programmable
communicating
thermostat line.
1997: The HAI OmniPro
controller is introduced,
providing expanded
features for large homes.
