between a character’s talking head and his voiceover.<br />

With a limited number of characters and interview fi lming locations, you<br />

may be able to place your subjects on dedicated interview tracks for the duration<br />

of the fi lm. This allows for very easy mix organization, but works only<br />

if you have very few characters and locations. Talk to your mixer before pursuing<br />

this approach. (See Figure 16-1.)<br />

the same throughout the fi lm, you can dedicate individual tracks to them. If not,<br />

or if the background location sounds are inconsistent, stick with track names like<br />

“Interview A → Interview F” and move things around as you see fi t.
