The nitrogen content of the dry matter was measured on the principle of the Kjeldahl
method with a Kjel-Foss analyzer. From the mass of the shoot and the nitrogen
concentration of it, the amount of nitrogen extracted from the soil per cutting was
determined. Finally, the total amount of nitrogen extracted was calculated. The obtained
results were evaluated by a three-variate analysis of variance.

In the analysis of variance, F and SD 5 % values were calculated for each factor and for
each double and triple interaction, then the significancy levels were determined.
