GPSports SPI 10
A revolution in both sport training and fitness evaluation has occurred;
GPSports Systems has developed the SPI 10 Sports Performance indicator.
The SPI 10 allows athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike to capture real
time performance information and perform post exercise evaluation.
The SPI 10 captures
• Time
• Maximum Speed
• Average Speed
• Distance Travelled
• Position
• Altitude
• Maximum Heart Rate
• Average Heart Rate
The Captured information can be reviewed on the SPI 10 display or
downloaded to a computer for a more comprehensive evaluation.
GPSPORTS ANALYSIS
SOFTWARE
Comprehensive evaluation of training and sporting performance is
provided by the GPSports Athlete Management System. The user can view
tabular, graphical and positional representations of their data. Analyze
performance during any segment of the event, evaluate the effects speed
and distance have upon heart rate. Compare past results and compare
athlete to athlete. A wide variety of reports can be generated and all
results can be exported over the internet. Regular updates of the GPSports
Analysis software are available to registered users allowing even greater
flexibility in the evaluation of current and past performance data.
TESTIMONIALS:
Mark Elliott
Coach of 2004 World Triathlon Champion and Olympic Silver
medallist Bevan Docherty
GPSports technology and software gives coaches a real edge in
monitoring key training sessions to achieve peak performance.
Matt Cramer
USA Cycling
National Mountain Bike Program Director
The SPI-10 system allows coaches and athletes to monitor multiple
variables that are both physiological and geographical in nature. This
is very unique as physiological data can be extracted for an athlete at
any given geographical location on, in our case, a mountain bike cross
country circuit.
This information then allows us to determine an athlete’s strengths
and weaknesses during a competition and alter training and
preparation accordingly.
Stephen Schwerdt
Head Fitness Coach
Adelaide Crows (Professional Australian Rules Football)
The GPSports SPI-10 is a most beneficial tool in player conditioning.
It has enabled the Adelaide Football Club to:
• Tailor specific player preparation
• Assist in player selection (match player physiology to the
profile of a particular position)
• Teach and coach players on how to effectively play
particular positions
• Quantify training and games
• Enhance and develop coaching strategies
• Facilitate talent identification
The GPSports SPI-10 technology is a multi purpose application that
can be applied to a wide scope of environments. The system is user
friendly and I happily endorse both the software and ongoing
technical support that is provided by GPSports. The use of this
product has significantly improved the conditioning program and
individual player development at the Adelaide Football Club.
Why Use GPSports
T echnology?
The SPI 10 provides an all-in-one performance evaluation solution for the sport or fitness
enthusiast, avoiding the need for separate measurement products such as Heart Rate
monitors and bicycle speedometers. The SPI 10 is capable of capturing speed and
distance information for sports that in the past have had difficulties in capturing this
information (eg running skiing, team sports). GPSports SPI 10/Analysis Software
technology allows for the user to plot their performance path with second by second
performance information (speed, heart rate, altitude). The user can view multiple athletes
on a single course and can review statistics summary for any select portion of the course.
The GPSports Analysis Software allows for the user to evaluate performance using time or
distance splits for sessions., reviewing data in this format quickly indicates if an athlete is
dropping off in performance in the alter stages of a session or event.
The SPI 10 is currently being used by leaders in sport around the world:
Some of our clients include:
• Professional Football (AFL, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer)
• Olympic Champions (Triathlon, Kayaking, Equestrian)
• World Champions (Kayaking, Cycling, Rowing)
• National Sports Institutes— Australian, New Zealand, Japanese,
Korean, Malaysian, Singapore, Chinese, English & Scottish
Sports Institutes.
PerfectSession.com has been designed to work hand in
hand with the SPI 10 and PC based Analysis Software.
This product can accept SPI 10 data, allows the coach
and athlete the flexibility to upload training data to a secure
web site for session sharing, can assist in the collation of
training volume and intensity and even guide the user in the
development of periodised training programs minimizing
the chance of over training.
