Sponsors and Partners of the EuroGames
The Aktion Mensch supports the integration of the Disabled at the
EuroGames with 60.000 Euro. “We would like to enable people with
disabilities to actively do sports. We don’t care about the sexual orientation of
the athletes”, says Irene Gemein of “Aktion Mensch”. “Sport is Sport”. A
Disability-Representative looks after the proper use for the funds and also
makes sure that the athletes get properly involved in the tournament. The
EuroGames came up with a concept for that in cooperation with the Disabled
and Injured Sportsclub Bayern. There will be attractions for and with disabled
people in the cultural program as well.
Galeria Kaufhof München am Marienplatz is the Gold-Sponsor of the
EuroGames. The department store will provide all participants with a sportsbackpack
at the opening event and all helpers of the tournament will get a
poloshirt. In addition to that the company will invite all participants on 30th
July to an excusive shopping-night. “For us both the setting and the size of
the event were decisive”, says General Manager Reimund Baumheier. “And
the EuroGames are currently the biggest sports event in Germany. 5,000
participants and 25,000 spectators: attractive numbers for every sponsor.
Among these there are many potential Kaufhof-customers.”
Löwenbräu supports the EuroGames as a Silver-Sponsor. The Munich
Brewery provides 100 hectoliters “Löwenbräu” and “Löwenbräu Alkoholfrei”
(without alcohol) inclusive beergarden equipment. The Löwenbräu AG is
also supporting the “Big Orange Party” on 31st July. Birgit Krischke, Brand
Manager for the brand “Löwenbräu” explains why: “Löwenbräu is t h e
international brand of beer based in Munich. It is characterised by its openmindedness.
We thus regard an international event in our city as an ideal
platform for publicity. We are pleased to support an event in the gay and
lesbian scene. We want to improve still further our good name in the
community in this way.”
