sounding of a going and welcome addresses, in<br />
the entrance hall of the Kulturforum Potsdamer<br />

the first long night Visitors’ choir<br />
On this Long Night of the Museums visitors are<br />
not only invited to listen to the numerous tasters<br />
of Berlin choirs in museums. At midnight on the<br />
Kulturforum’s piazetta visitors can add their voices<br />
to the thousands in the Long Night choir (p. 192)!<br />
The midnight sing-along will be led by the Berlin<br />
conductor Kerstin Behnke, who took part in the<br />
mass choir in a Tokyo sumo stadium – bringing<br />
together 5000 singers for the closing bars of<br />
Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.<br />
tango<br />
Visitors to the Kulturforum can look forward to<br />
variety of Tango performances. After the opening<br />
ceremony the consortium musicum berlin and die<br />
Sing-Akademie zu Berlin will be performing the pieces<br />
»Por una cabeza« and »En los campos en flor«<br />
by Carlos Gardel, arranged by Reiko Clement. The<br />
choirs are accompanied by Reiko Clement on the<br />
bandoneon, Cornelia Hagen on piano and Chloe<br />
Miller on violoncello.<br />
Susanne Opitz and Rafael Busch from »Tangotanzenmachtschön«<br />
will be showing visitors how to<br />
dance the passionate Tango, with Basak Evran und<br />
René Löffler from the dance schools »Zappatissimo«<br />
and »Estudio«.<br />
From 12.30 am the Tango DJ Jens Stuller will be<br />
spinning classic und mo<strong>der</strong>n Tango tunes. Time to<br />
get dancing!<br />
