Exhibition ‘Gott sei Dank’ in the St. Matthaus-Kirche with works by the Berlin artist Christa Dichgans<br />
Built by the Schinkel follower Friedrich August<br />
Stüler between 1844 and 1846, the church still<br />
functions as a church, but also organises exhibitions,<br />
performances and concerts.<br />

Paintings by Christa Dichgans<br />
in »Thanks be to God« the Berlin artist presents<br />
eight large-scale works and an altarpiece, in part<br />
developed specially for the exhibition. The intense<br />
yellow colour of the altarpiece ‘Mistral,’ created in<br />
1991 in the south of France, creates a meditative<br />
atmosphere.<br />
