Exhibition ‘Gott sei Dank’ in the St. Matthaus-Kirche with works by the Berlin artist Christa Dichgans
Built by the Schinkel follower Friedrich August
Stüler between 1844 and 1846, the church still
functions as a church, but also organises exhibitions,
performances and concerts.

Paintings by Christa Dichgans
in »Thanks be to God« the Berlin artist presents
eight large-scale works and an altarpiece, in part
developed specially for the exhibition. The intense
yellow colour of the altarpiece ‘Mistral,’ created in
1991 in the south of France, creates a meditative
atmosphere.
