Hand_Work: 500 Years of Technology, Function
and Design
The exhibition presents the astounding milestones
reached in the history of the development of
artificial hands. It shows how the gap between the
natural ideal and the technical reproduction has
narrowed with every new insight into the functionality
of hands.

Why is the sky blue? Can you see heat? How does
a plane stay up in the sky? The centre answers these
questions and many more with 250 interactive exhibits
spanning science and technology.

250 Interactive Experiments
The lightning machine hisses and sparks, in the
plasma ball a mysterious light is moving and
rotography slides create glowing patterns, ever
changing anew.

Discover a fascinating electronic musical instrument
which plays music without being touched –
the theremin.
In this introduction visitors can learn how the
instrument functions and about its history.
