The museum’s collection stores 30 million objects,
from fossils and preserved animal specimens to
minerals and over 4.5 billion-year-old meteorites.
A particular highlight is the world’s largest dinosaur
displayed in a museum. The recent reopening
of the East Wing also made a large research collection
of formaldehyde-preserved specimens accessible
to the public.
