A lively cultural and research centre for Latin<br />
America, the Carribean, Spain and Portugal, the<br />
institute has the largest special library in Europe;<br />
it is also responsible for various publications and<br />
regularly holds events.<br />

At the Ibero-American Institute’s stand (central<br />
entrance hall of the Kulturforum) visitors can<br />
learn more about the institute’s work, Try Latin<br />
American sweets and have a go at winning attractive<br />

The musicians Nikolaj Abramson (clarinet),<br />
Arthur Hornig (violoncello) and Jan Jachmann<br />
(accordion), together Trio NeuKlang dare to freely<br />
interpret famous works and supposedly overplayed<br />
tunes in Classical Mo<strong>der</strong>n, Tango and Jazz, transforming<br />
even old classics into best kept secrets.<br />

The Kunstbibliothek specialises in literature on<br />
art history from the late antiquity to the current<br />
day and contains approx. 400,000 volumes. The<br />
library’s collection also includes architectural and<br />
ornamental prints and drawings, the Lipperheide<br />
costume library, posters and advertisements, graphic<br />
design prints and photographs.<br />
