The Ephraim Palace has long been consi<strong>der</strong>ed one<br />
of the most beautiful sights of Berlin. The threestorey<br />
building houses various special exhibitions<br />
on the artistic and cultural history of Berlin.<br />

kleist: Crisis and Experiment<br />
The exhibition presents the writer Heinrich von<br />
Kleist – both his works and an eventful life of<br />
crises and catastrophes. For the Long Night the<br />
focus is on the Berliner Abendblätter (Berlin<br />
Evening Papers), published from October 1810<br />
to March 1811. Kleist’s newspaper was exciting,<br />
innovative and initially very successful.<br />
