The influence and life of pianist karlrobert<br />

kreiten, executed in 1943 for »un<strong>der</strong>mining<br />

military morale« is presented in this lecture by<br />

Albrecht Dümling, which is rounded off with a<br />

performance by pianist Holger Groschopp of the<br />

Bach/Busoni piece that Kreitens was due to have<br />

played on the 3rd May 1943 in Heidelberg. Before<br />

the concert could begin he was arrested by the<br />

Gestapo and transported to the Gestapo prison on<br />

Prinz-Albrecht-Straße.<br />
