The influence and life of pianist karlrobert
kreiten, executed in 1943 for »undermining
military morale« is presented in this lecture by
Albrecht Dümling, which is rounded off with a
performance by pianist Holger Groschopp of the
Bach/Busoni piece that Kreitens was due to have
played on the 3rd May 1943 in Heidelberg. Before
the concert could begin he was arrested by the
Gestapo and transported to the Gestapo prison on
Prinz-Albrecht-Straße.
