Installation – participation encouraged<br />
In the courtyard all visitors (children from 5 years)<br />
can add to large illuminated sculpture, using<br />
thousands of coloured straws.<br />
The bookstall will be offering special prices on<br />
exhibition catalogues. The café will be serving<br />
food and drink inside and outside.<br />

The museum, housed un<strong>der</strong> the train arches at<br />
Alexan<strong>der</strong>platz, displays the history of motorcycle<br />
production in the former GDR, including many rare<br />
models.<br />

Time travel through the history of GDR twowheeler<br />
production<br />
The largest public exhibition of GDR two-wheelers<br />
in the world includes more than 140 motorcycles,<br />
motor scooters and mopeds from the manufacturers<br />
MZ, Simson und IWL, shown over two floors<br />
and 800m2. On display are almost all models<br />
from 40 years of GDR two-wheeler production, as<br />
well as many trailers, sports and racing motorcycles,<br />
special-purpose and government vehicles.<br />

GDR Camping – Leisure and Everyday Life<br />
Camping was one of the most popular leisure<br />
activities in the GDR. The special exhibition shows<br />
camping and leisure scenes, such as a Trabant with<br />
a camping trailer and awning. Over 500 articles<br />
are displayed, including many every-day objects<br />
from the GDR such as cameras, radios, calculators,<br />
toiletries and toys.<br />
