Zany radio crew tackles leukemia

finding any cures." Johnson said

! Being able to see tangible re
suits of their efforts is encouraging
as well, Johnson s'aid. In the
* last few years, the crew at WLLZ
has come to know Denny Sims; a
young boy with leukemia, pretty

well. He became involved with the
C organization as a poster child and
began visiting the station during
the radiothon.

The air wave marathon netted
more than $90,000.in its first year.

than 900 Michigan lukemia patients
registered with the organi:
