To create a temporary override key<br />

1 Click Manage tab ➤ <strong>Customization</strong> panel ➤ User Interface.<br />

2 In the Customize User Interface Editor, Customize tab, click the plus sign<br />

(+) next to Keyboard Shortcuts to expand it.<br />

3 In the <strong>Customization</strong>s In pane, right-click Temporary Override<br />

Keys. Click New Temporary Override.<br />

A new temporary override (named TemporaryOverride1) is placed at the<br />

bottom of the Temporary Override Keys tree.<br />

4 Do one of the following:<br />

■ Enter a new name over the default name TemporaryOverride1.<br />

■ Right-click TemporaryOverride1. Click Rename. Enter a new temporary<br />

override name.<br />

■ Click TemporaryOverride1, wait, and click again over the temporary<br />

override’s name again to edit its name in-place.<br />

5 Select the new temporary override in the tree view, and update the<br />

Properties pane:<br />

■ In the Description box, enter a description for the temporary override<br />

key.<br />

■ In the Key(s) box, click the [ ] button to open the Shortcut Keys dialog<br />

box. In the Shortcut Keys dialog box, click in the Press New Shortcut<br />

Key box to ensure the box has focus, and press a key. Valid modifier<br />

keys include function (Fn keys) with no modifiers, Shift+letter, or<br />

Shift+number key.<br />
